Cooler – Thursday 2nd May 2019 – Bank Holiday Monday 6th May 2019

Hi all,

Some welcome rain arrived on Saturday after a decent Easter but it has still been a very dry month. With another Bank Holiday fast approaching, will we be lucky once again? There’s been talk of a heatwave then frost and snow, so what’s it to be?

Thursday: Breezy with showers at times, some heavy with hail or thunder. As the afternoon progresses the showers will become more confined to the south and east.. Max 12°C

Friday: Generally cloudy with morning showers fading into the afternoon leaving a day of limited bright spells and feeling cold especially in the breeze. Max 10°C

Saturday: A frosty start looks likely. Sunny spells for the morning but cloud will tend to bubble up during the day. Chilly and windy but dry. Max 11°C

Sunday: High pressure rebuilds so we lose the cold wind and with sunny or bright spells, temperatures recover, even after another frosty start. Max 12°C

Bank Holiday Monday: Dry with bright spells. Feeling warmer in any sunshine. Max 13°C

Outlook: Dry and pleasant to start but becoming unsettled from the west from midweek with showers at times and turning windy. After the next weekend things are looking up with warmer sunnier weather.
