Beth is making the place a kinder one
My name is Beth Graham and I’m 18 years old and I live in Oldham.
I set up and run my own non profit organisation, called Kindness Cards Project. I set up my project just over a year ago, in August 2018, and it has continued to grow since then!
Here is a bit of information about my project and what I do! –
I send out kindness cards and packages to anyone in the UK for free, who has any chronic illnesses, disabilities, mental health conditions or who is going through a hard time for whatever reason.
I fund kindness cards project myself, however extremely kind donations from family, friends and various companies also help me to continue to run it.
My kindness cards include positive messages and quotes, stickers, a friendship bracelet or a flavoured individually wrapped tea bag.
My kindness packages include items such as: beauty products (face masks, hand creams etc), toys, socks, stationery, sweets and more. Each package is personalised to each person, based on their age, likes, dislikes and allergies.
The aim of my project is to make people smile.
I started kindness cards project because I have autism, and I have been through some difficult times myself in the past, so I wanted to make people smile who may be experiencing similar things that I experienced.
So far, I have sent out well over 500 cards and 300 packages (I have lost count of exactly how many!) all over the UK, and to Oldham hospitals children’s ward, and some of the hospitals adults wards. If you would like to find out more about what I do, find out how to receive a card or package, or donate, please visit my instagram page, @kindnesscardsproject or Facebook page, Kindness Cards Project.
