Have you seen Ralph?

Video footage of a missing Tameside man has been released two months since he was last seen.
Officers from Tameside have been searching for 74-year-old Geoffrey Ralph since he was last seen on Monday 24 July.

Large and extensive searches of Geoffrey’s favourite places to walk have been carried out with the help of colleagues at mountain rescue and the National Police Aviation Service, as well as hours of CCTV footage being examined.
Despite widespread enquiries, he is yet to be reunited with his family.

Geoffrey is white, of slim build, around 5ft 6in tall with short, grey hair and a white beard.
He speaks with a Manchester accent and was last seen wearing a black and grey raincoat with orange stripes on the sleeves.
He was also wearing brown/beige trousers, a navy pullover, brown Timberland boots and a soft, green corduroy cap.

Let’s have a chat

He is known to walk around the Hartshead Pike area, Debdale Park and along the canal from Clayton Vale to Daisy Nook and suffers from dementia.
More than two months since he was reported missing, officers have released video footage of Geoffrey in hope people will recognise him.

Detective Inspector Richard Ennis of GMP’s Tameside Borough, said: “Given the length of time he’s been missing, I’m sure people can appreciate we’re really worried for Geoffrey and his wellbeing.

“There was some inclement weather around the time he went missing so he may be seeking shelter somewhere and although he may not be near to his home on

Arbroath Street in Droylsden, I cannot stress how important it is for people to familiarise themselves with his description, pictures and the way he holds himself so they can let us know if they have seen him.
“It may be that you saw him weeks ago but have not yet told us about this. If you have seen him at any point, whenever it was, please let us know. Our knowledge about his movements is limited however we have carried out a number of searches with the information we know so far.
“If we receive any new information that could lead us to Geoffrey, we will act on it and exhaust all our resources in order to bring him home to his family.”

Anyone who sees Geoffrey or knows where he is should contact police on 101 quoting log number 2430 of 24/07/17 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
