Action Oldham celebrate 4yrs with a curry of favour

TSaddleworth newshis week we are celebrating Action Oldham Fund’s 4th Birthday. However, not with cake, but with curry! Action Oldham Fund supports good causes across the borough with grants, so they can make a real difference to local lives. With the help of generous local people and businesses we have been able to fund more than 80 community projects in the last four years, distributing over £330,000! We are celebrating, that together, we are transforming Oldham
Local curry houses are all creating change with curry by donating £1 for every Chicken Tikka main meal sold this week! (18-24 September)

Sponsored by Aspect Fire Solutions Ltd

Action Oldham Fund grants give vital support to the smaller, local groups who are enhancing health and well- being on our doorsteps or rebuilding lives affected by poverty, crime, isolation or unemployment in our own neighbourhoods.
Clare Taylor, Action Oldham Fund Development Co-ordinator, Action Together said “Our friends in these restaurants have been consistently supported of local charities. For example, one of the curry houses has been very generous with Raffle prizes and with hosting charity events for us. It’s wonderful these restaurants wants to give back, and with over half of the population sating they would prefer to buy from business that give local, it’s a great offer for our Birthday week!”

If you ever needed an excuse to go for a curry, this is one!
