CHRISTMAS Stress Tips 1 – responsibilities
Heading towards Christmas we expect it to be jolly, fun and happy all round. But it is often stressful too
- So much to prepare, what to buy or do, too many parties (any such thing?!) and extra costs on food and gifts, taxis and events.
Be able to say no to extras or things that you don’t want to do – it’s OK to manage your time and money!
- Not to mention the family get togethers where siblings revert to the children if they go ‘home’, or maybe you are the ‘parent’ doing the hosting and cooking – not the child any more.
Remind yourself of your current lifestyle and outlook – you are no longer their baby/sibling role
- Keeping various generations happy and comfortable
Get someone to play with the children, the older people and hosting drinks whilst you concentrate on the meal prep for example
