The local Festival that was a sell out last year, Cotton Clouds, announces another evening of great music and bands in a Friday night event.

The extra night will run 5-10pm with a crowd pulling line-up of the Lightning Seeds, The Pigeon Detectives, Badly Drawn Boy, Chali 2na & Krafty Kuts, Cavana, Gareth Brooks (DJ set). Only one stage will be in operation on the evening, unlike the Saturday event.

Rick Lees, director of Cotton Clouds Festival, told Saddleworth News and Life: “We’re delighted at the prospect of growing Cotton Clouds Festival into a two day event. The Friday evening will enable the festival to become an ongoing endeavour commercially as we utilise the infrastructure which is already in place for the Saturday event.

“As locals ourselves, we hope to deliver a festival that the whole community can be proud of, a festival that brings international stars to our hometown and is of huge benefit to local businesses and the area as a whole.

“This year we have already collaborated with Donkeystone Brewery and Grandpa Greene’s Ice Cream and we plan to continue to engage with other local businesses as the festival grows.

“We still have some announcements to come too, namely in the kids activities. It’s fair to say that 2018 will be a huge step up from last years event and we can’t wait to get started on site!”

Tickets will go on sale via the Cotton Clouds website tomorrow (Friday ) at 9am –  www.cottoncloudsfestival.com
