Cotton Clouds Festival organisers meet with local residents despite atrocious weather conditions

Extreme conditions were battled but the meeting of the Cotton Clouds Festival organisers and local residents went ahead last night at Saddleworth Cricket Club.
The organisers of Cotton Clouds Festival shared feedback from last years event and ran through plans for improvements and changes to be made to the 2018 event.
Not surprisingly, considering the atrocious weather conditions, the meeting was attended only by a handful, but having distributed 500 letters to local residents the Cotton Clouds organisers stuck to their word and the consultation went ahead as planned.
The organisers; the Directors of the Festival and Go To Live, the production company responsible for delivering the operational requirements of the event, have expressed that they want it to be known that they wish to work together with the community and really want to hear what they have to say.
Ryan Esson of Go To Live told Saddleworth News and Life: “We’re assuming the weather has played a part in the low attendance figures and we will do another letter drop to say when a repeat meeting will take place in approx. 2 weeks. We will also ask the residents to show an expression of interest.”
