Dobcross Youth Band Recruitment Evening
The Dobcross Youth Band in action at this summer's village fête.
A special recruitment evening aimed at encouraging local youngsters to take up brass is being organised by the Dobcross Youth Band.
It’s going to be held at the village band club on Tuesday 1 November between 6pm and 7:30pm.
Organisers say it’s a chance for parents and children to go along and find out more about brass banding in a friendly and fun atmosphere.
There’ll be an opportunity to talk to the band’s music tutors and have a go at an instrument. The band has instruments which it lends to young players at a minimal cost.
The Dobcross Youth Band has a proud history, and once again took the youth honours on Whit Friday in Saddleworth this year.
