October’s Saddleworth Independent

October’s issue of the Saddleworth Independent newspaper is out now. It’s got the usual mix of local news, sport and features, with a focus on positive and human interest stories about our area.

I’m sure you’ll agree the front page features quite an image, although you’ll have to pick up the paper to find out what all the nudity is about! It’s available for free at pubs, shops and other pick-up points around Saddleworth.

(Full disclosure: The Saddleworth Independent advertises with Saddleworth News)

    This one’s popular,
The co-op in Uppermill has sold out already, so has the Post Office (although they say more are due)

Please take a moment to check out the last two pages about Saddleworth Village Olympics too, although avoid the photo of that bloke with a camera, he may have all his clothes on, but is still rather scary!

I wouldn’t have thought a wet and windy October was the best time of year to get your kit off – time to get the thermal underwear and the cardigans out more like !
