Settled – Thursday 2nd January 2020 – Sunday 5th January 2020

Hi all,

HAPPY NEW YEAR – hope you all have a fantastic 2020! That’s one-third of winter over with and there’s been a lack of significant cold and snow and looking ahead, even frosts will be hard to come by, let alone a good dump of snow! At least the year ended on a dry note with only 3.8mm of rain in the final 7 days.

Thursday: After a cold New Year’s Day it will now be milder with strengthening southwesterly winds. Dry with some bright spells but patchy rain arriving into the evening. Max 11°C

Friday: Back to cooler air again. Sunny spells with a risk of a rogue shower. Most areas dry. Cold in the breeze.  Max 7°C

Weekend: Quiet

Saturday: A lot of cloud about and breezy but dry with some bright spells later. Max 8°C

Sunday: Dry with bright spells. Max 10°C

Outlook: Looking unsettled on Monday/Tuesday with periods of rain and wind. Drier and settled again from midweek as high pressure returns to the south of the UK. No sign of any wintry conditions at this stage.

Monday
A spell of wet and windy weather to start the next working week
