5 O’Clock Shadow Return To Dobcross Band Club

Dobcross Band Club

Local band 5 o’clock Shadow will be returning to Dobcross Band Club for a gig this Saturday night, after playing a fundraiser for the club back in February.

Former musical director of the Dobcross Silver Band, Dennis Hadfield, is the band’s frontman, and he’s kindly sent an article previewing the event:

FOLLOWING ON FROM THEIR successful gig in February 5 o’Clock Shadow are returning in June.

They will be performing at the Dobcross Band and Social Club on Saturday 11 June at 8:30 pm, with some new songs and some of their old favourites.

Guitarist and singer, Dennis Hadfield, said: “I was really pleased with how the February gig had gone as a new venture for us. There was a great atmosphere and people on the night were asking when we would be back. It was great to see so many people in the club drinking and dancing end having a thoroughly enjoyable time.”

The club steward and President of our Silver Band, John Holden, commented: “It is important for people to support events like this and use the club’s facilities if it is to continue to have a strong and stable future in our community.”

The ticket price has been reduced from £7 to £5 as there will be no pie supper this time, so make sure you have had your tea. Tickets will be available in advance from the club itself and the Post Office. If you can help sell tickets then please give Dennis a ring on 07957871239 and he will get them to you.
