An appeal to keep houses bright

Since 9 December there has been three burglaries reported on the Saddleworth North area.

On 9 December at 20:01hrs unknown offenders threw a plant pot at a rear window of a property, setting off the alarm, no entry was gained to a property on Ripponden Road in Denshaw.

Between 22:30 on 9 December and 07:15 on 10 December unknown offenders gain access to a property via a locked rear door of a property on Rochdale Road in Denshaw. Offenders steal property and vehicle keys and then make off with a Mercedes A200 Sport which was parked on the driveway.

On 11December at 10:57, unknown offenders smash a rear glass door to a property, gain entry and conduct an untidy search before stealing items and making good their escape from a property on Midgreave in Delph.

There was also the theft of a Landrover defender on 9 December between 01:35 and 01:48 on Cornwall Crescent in Diggle.

Two of the home owners were on holiday at the time of the offences. Monica Rowley, PCSO of the Oldham Borough Police said: ” Could I remind you all to please make your homes look occupied and keep your vehicle in a garage if you have one. especially if you are going away or not going to be home for a period of time.”
