BBC Countryfile Visits Holmfirth

Holmfirth was featured on the BBC’s Countryfile programme over the weekend. Presenter John Craven visited the village as part of a report into whether local campaigns against proposed supermarkets can succeed.

Last year, Tesco withdrew its application for a store in Holmfirth following an angry reaction from many local residents, although it has said it will bring forward new plans in the future.
