It’s always good to be able to report on good news from one of our local businesses, and even more so when that business is an advertiser with this website!
So it’s time to salute Owl Marketing, a new company started by local businesswoman Deborah Wroe and Liz Lancashire, because they’ve landed a deal to promote a forthcoming UK trip by the stars of a top Aussie TV show.
Five lifeguards from Bondi Rescue, shown over here on CBS Reality, will be heading over later in the year not only to meet their British fans, but also to spread the word about beach safety.
No word yet on whether they’ll be making it inland to Saddleworth, but Deborah told Saddleworth News: “We are trying our best to get them up north as they do have a large fan base here.”
She added: “Though we can’t promise them jet skis on the canals or surfers at Dove Stone Reservoir, we can show them northern hospitality and beautiful countryside.”
