Christmas Day Fun At Dobcross Band Club

David Morris leads the fun on Christmas Day.

Dozens of local people packed into Dobcross Band Club on Christmas Day for one of the highlights of the Saddleworth festive calendar, the annual carol concert.

Dobcross resident and champion whistler David Morris led a small brass band and the assembled crowd in a series of familiar songs between 1pm and 3pm.

Thankfully there was no repeat of the heavy snow of the past two winters, with temperatures on the day itself into double figures in celsius terms, positively balmy for the time of year!
