Pupils and staff at Bright Futures School for children with autism in

to their annual fundraising Christmas Open Afternoon yesterday, to
help raise money for the new school currently being built in
Greenfield, Saddleworth. Together, we raised a fantastic total of £305.

Visitors were treated to mulled-wine and hand-made mince pies at the
fun-filled Christmas celebration, and guests picked up some last
minute Christmas treats, made by the very creative Bright Futures
School pupils.

There was a raffle, with 25 prizes, and a large cheque presentation
made by friends at Dobcross Church for £250, which will go towards the
fundraising pot for kitting out the brand new state-of-the-art Bright
Futures school in Greenfield.

“What a way to end an amazing year! Our Christmas Open Afternoon has
been brilliant!! It’s so lovely to see all our friends, family and
supporters coming together and having such fun, as well as helping to
raise some money for our new school!

Thank you to everyone who came along to our fantastic event. And a
huge thank you to our pupils and staff for their talents and
creativity – in all the amazing hand-made gifts and treats they’ve
been busy making over the last few weeks!

The hard work our staff put in with the pupils is an absolute credit
to Bright Futures School and the camaraderie and team-work displayed
by pupils and staff has been awesome.

Together, we managed to raise a whopping £305, which is just amazing!
So thank you to everyone involved! We wish all our family, friends and
supporters a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And hope to
see you all again in February 2020, when we move into our brand new
school in Greenfield.”
