There’s an open day at Oldham’s Local Studies and Archives centre this coming Saturday, 11 June, for anyone who worked in the cotton industry.

Historians are keen to learn more about what working in the cotton industry in Oldham was like, and to preserve the stories of cotton workers for future generations.

Anyone interested in sharing their experiences is asked to go along to the centre, which is at 84 Union Street, between 10am and 3pm.

More information is available by calling 0161 770 4654, or by e-mailing archives@oldham.gov.uk
