Delph And Dobcross Win Again

Delph and Dobcross maintained their good form on Saturday with a nine wicket Huddersfield League victory over visiting Holmfirth. The result means D&D are now fifth in the table, 15 points behind leaders Honley, while Holmfirth are one point adrift at the bottom.

Holmfirth won the toss and chose to bat but found it hard going, reaching 162/8 from their 50 overs. No batsman managed more than 31, while Matt Norvall took 5/39 for D&D.

The home side easily reached their target in the 26th over for the loss of just one wicket. Bruce Cruse scored 71 not out, while Bilal Khiljee was unbeaten on 48.
