Delph Band Race Night Fundraiser

A fundraiser takes place tonight in aid of the Delph Band. It’s a race night at the Band Club, as the band raises money so it can take part in the National Band Championships in Harrogate in September.

I’m told it’s not a typical race night with a big screen. Instead, the races will be done on a large games table, with people paying small amounts to either ‘own’ or ‘ride’ a horse, or place a bet on the race. There’s also going to be a beef butty supper during the night.

So if you’re keen to help Delph’s “Road to Harrogate” fund, get down to the Band Club this evening. The fun starts at 8pm.
