Thank you dinner for Dr Kershaws in Uppermill eatery

Rob Saddleworth newsRob Norbury and the team at Muse Bar & Eatery in Uppermill are generously donating a meal for 25 people involved with the Oldham charity, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

On the 26th September, former Hollyoaks actor Rob is hosting a dinner at Muse for a selected group of community members associated with the charity to thank them for their hard work and support.

Dr Kershaw’s is a hospice that provides specialist palliative care for adults with non-curable, life-limiting illnesses in a peaceful and homely environment and Rob is keen to raise as much awareness for them as possible. He said: “Dr Kershaw’s do a fantastic job supporting the patients at the hospice in their final stages of life. They also work tirelessly to help the families during these sad times so at Muse we wanted to reward them and I’m grateful to be in a position to do this. We’re anticipating a wonderful evening and will be raising a glass to all their hard work.”

As well as the kindhearted dinner donation, Muse are also sponsoring Dr Kershaw’s take on Strictly Come Dancing, ‘Strictly Kershaw’s’, on the 20th October at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham. Rob and his kitchen team will be cooking up a storm for the fundraising charity event by providing all the food for the evening.

Alison Taylor, the community fundraiser from Dr Kershaw’s, is extremely appreciative of Muse’s help. She said: “We are over the moon with the support Muse are giving us. We rely on donations from the public and our sponsors to keep the hospice running and Rob has gone above and beyond to help us with this. All our guests are looking forward to enjoying an evening at Muse and the ticket holders for Strictly Kershaw’s are in for a culinary treat I’m sure!”
