Dobcross Silver Band join forces with USA brass band champions

Dobcross Silver Band is welcoming the USA open Brass Band Champions Fountain City to play with them at their club later this month.
The Dobcross Band Club is renowned for welcoming overseas brass bands. Only last June Tanunda from Australia appeared at the club and thrilled the locals. Wellington from New Zealand in 2015 the same. To join a list from Denmark Norway Switzerland.
Fountain City Brass Band will arrive in the UK later this week and will take part in the Brass in Concert Contest in Gateshead on Sunday.
On Monday they will give concert in Rotherham. The following Saturday they will take part in the Scottish Open Contest in Perth before travelling South when on Sunday 26th November at 7.30 they will join forces with Dobcross Silver Band at the band club for what promises to be an excellent concert
John Holden of the Dobcross Silver Band told Saddleworth News: “Let’s hope we can fill the club once again for our Foreign Visitors.”
