Dobcross has been named as one of five top rural destinations to visit in Greater Manchester. It features along with Broadbottom in Tameside, Disley near Stockport, Flixton in Trafford and Haigh near Wigan in an article published in Manchester’s online culture guide Creative Tourist.

(Editor’s note: To be honest, it was hardly surprising that Dobcross should be included, seeing as the article was written by me! As I mention in the piece, I’d probably be run out of town if I didn’t mention my home village. But it’s certainly a worthy inclusion, I’d say)
