Dobcross Turns Out For The Royal Wedding

The crowd watch the big screen intently.

Much of the nation was glued to the TV for the royal wedding this morning, and Saddleworth was no exception. Dozens of people packed into the school hall at Holy Trinity in Dobcross to see the marriage of William and Kate on the big screen.

There was a brief moment of panic when, as everyone waited for their first glimpse of the dress, the screen froze. But the connection was re-established within a few minutes, and the crowd was able to enjoy the ceremony.

Royal watchers of all ages packed in to the school hall.

There were even some special guests.

There was a big cheer at the first sight of Kate Middleton.

There were lots of Union Flags in evidence.

After the wedding, those with packed lunches had their own small banquet outside.
