National Trust Marsden Moor Estate – plant group sales
Every Friday from April to October, the Marsden Moor Estate office sell plants to the public, next to the Railway Station.
The nursery, run by National Trust volunteers, specialises in perennials and includes herbs, alpines and some shrubs.
Many of the plants come from donations from the public whose gardens are overstocked, whilst others are grown from seed by their volunteers. In the nursery, they are split, propagated and once well rooted they are offered for sale.
As all the plants are locally grown their customer feedback has always been very positive and all income generated is used towards the conservation of the Marsden Moor Estate.
The estate always welcome any plant donations which can be left anytime at the office. Additionally, if you are interested in joining them you can go along any Friday to have a chat and see what they do.
They are open for plant sales from April – October on Fridays from 10am till 3pm and also on Sunday 9 August and Sunday 13 September from 1pm till 4pm.
The address is: National Trust, Marsden Moor Estate Office, The Old Goods Yard, Station Road, Marsden, HD7 6DH.
