Fish Scores Three As Mossley Beat Garforth

Mossley ended a run of three defeats in a row with a comfortable 5-2 victory over Garforth Town last night. Mike Fish scored three of Mossley’s goals in a game played at Ashton United’s Hurst Cross ground.

Mossley went into a 3-0 lead after just a quarter of an hour, following two goals by Fish either side of a strike from Ben Richardson. Garforth managed to get two goals back by half-time through Adam Clayton and Tom Greaves, although Fish completed his hat-trick just before the break to make it 4-2.

The second half wasn’t nearly as dramatic, but a Matty Kay goal completed the scoring.

The result moves Mossley up to 7th in the table, although they’ve got no chance of reaching the playoffs. You can see the table here.

Meanwhile, in the Manchester League, Springhead beat Hollinwood 4-3. Springhead are now 8th in the table, which is here.
