Great Expectations met by the Saddleworth Players

Reporter : Ruby Anstee

Saddleworth News enjoyed another great night at the Millgate Theatre watching the Saddleworth Players enact Charles Dicken’s classic Great Expectations. It was adapted by Neil Bartlet for the stage.

The Saddleworth Players have yet again brought to Saddleworth a great show, and very cleverly using the audience’s imagination to create the backdrops to the stage. The characters were amazing at keeping the audience’s attention and made for a very different and engaging take on the classic story.

Tonight is the last night of this performance run although a few tickets are still remaining.

The Players are now getting ready for their next performance of The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate …. Murder Mystery running from Jan 27 to Feb 3. A great treat for the New Year!

Tickets can be booked here – www.millgateartscentre.co.uk
