Greenfield Primary School has achieved outstanding results after recently being inspected by Ofsted for overall performance.

The school, on Shaw Street in Greenfield, was inspected by Ofsted on 24 and 25 September this year.

Ofsted found that Leadership and Management was Outstanding, Behaviour and Safety of Pupils was Outstanding, Quality of Teaching was Outstanding, Achievement of Pupils was Outstanding, Early Years Provision was Outstanding. They found the overall effectiveness of Greenfield Primary School was Outstanding.

Headteacher, Mike Wood, told Saddleworth News: “These fantastic results are down to the hard work of the governors, teachers and staff at the school and especially the children, we have all worked very hard to achieve these results.

“We have always been aiming for this result and I would like to thank all the staff and children at the school for their hard work – to be told we are ‘outstanding’ in all areas is just marvellous.”

The school say they wanted to celebrate their success with the community of Greenfield and the wider areas of Oldham.
