Hogg Century Helps Delph And Dobcross

Delph and Dobcross got a valuable win over Hoylandswaine in their Huddersfield League match on Saturday, with plenty of help from Lancashire’s Kyle Hogg. The all-rounder, on a rare day off from county duty, took three wickets and scored an unbeaten century to see D&D to victory by seven wickets.

Hoylandswaine batted first and racked up 239/6 from their 50 overs, with Alex Morris left stranded on 98 not out. Hogg took 3/88 from his 21 overs.

D&D’s reply ran into early trouble when professional Bilal Khiljee was out without scoring. However, a huge partnership between Hogg and Faisal Butt, who were left unbeaten on 111 and 79 respectively, helped the home side to their target with more than 15 overs to spare.
