Jubilee celebrations at St Mary’s Church in Greenfield

St Mary’s Church in Greenfield is hosting a ‘Jubilee Jamboree’ on Sunday the 3rd June between 1pm and 4pm. The event will take place in the grounds of St Mary’s School and is St Mary’s answer to a jubilee street party!

All are welcome to come and celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. They will serve afternoon tea outside with sandwiches, homemade cakes and unlimited hot drinks and juice.

There will be traditional games on the school field and they urge everybody to practice their three legged, egg and spoon and sack race skills beforehand!

Even the parents will get a chance to show off their sporting skills! The cost will be £10 for a family ticket (for up to 5 people), £3 per individual adult and £2 per individual child. There will also be a separate bar.

They hope that it will be a fantastic community event and look forward to seeing as many people there as possible to celebrate this special occasion.
