The charity film showing of KES by Saddleworth News just over a week ago has raised £931.07 for the Pc Nicola Hughes fund.

The cheque was presented to Nicola’s Father Bryn Hughes and his wife Natalie, along with fellow marathon participant and friend Rob Stapleton. Nicola’s brother Sam was also present at the hand over of the cheque.

Bryn said: “This is a great amount of money that has been raised in Nicola’s memory and I would like to thank Saddleworth News, Tim and Michael at The Swan, David Bradley (Billy Casper) from the film, and everyone who came on the night.”

Saddleworth News would also like to thank David Bradley for appearing at the screening, as well as Michael and Tim at The Swan for all their help and the free use of the theatre room, the gentleman who provided the projector and Park Circus in Glasgow for allowing the public screening, and all the people who turned up to support this event.
