Local computer company giving children a helping hand at Christmas …

Saddleworth NewsA  computing company from Uppermill have gathered a large stash of presents and continue to do so for needy children in Manchester. The presents have been dropped off by locals to support Key 103’s  ‘Mission Christmas’. All donations go to Cash for Kids Charity and are distributed around Manchester.

Infinity Computing have been a drop-off point for Mission Christmas for 4 years now. They told Saddleworth News : “Each year the pile gets bigger thanks to generous people bringing them in.”

Cash for Kids lends a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children aged 0 to 18 years across 21 areas in the UK by means of a grant giving process.

Grants awarded go towards buying specialist equipment for children to enhance their quality of life. They are given to children’s charities and organisations to help them undertake projects and new initiatives or to ensure that much needed services can continue to provide essential care and support.
All the money raised on behalf of Cash for Kids stays in the area it was raised in providing a helping hand when and where it is needed most.

Megan of Infinity Computers told Saddleworth News: ” We support schools with their computers so being able to do this for the children in Manchester means a lot to us.”

The entrance to Infinity Computers can be found in Smithy’s Yard, opposite the Hare and Hound Pub’s carpark.

The collection continues until the 15th December, so please drop off any donations before then.
