There’s been a happy ending to the story of Jasper, the cat who went missing from his new home on Slack Gate Lane in Denshaw.

Jasper’s previous owner, Karla Green, has been in touch to say he was found on Sunday evening in undergrowth behind a garage on Summerhill View in the village.

Karla said a woman recognised Jasper after seeing a missing poster for him while out walking her dog earlier in the day.

She added: “He is now safe after his ten day adventure and back with his brother TC. We are absolutely delighted and would like to thank everyone for their help and support in finding him.”

Karla found a new home for Jasper in Denshaw, because she’s about to relocate from Stalybridge to Australia. He disappeared on Thursday 21 July, just four days after moving to his new home along with his twin brother.
