Mum2Mum Market Oldham is spreading its Dragon’s Den’s wings

Kelly Dronsfield, business director, has just passed one year in bringing her marvellous Mum2Mum Markets to Oldham, and is now spreading her wings and taking the sales to a second venue in Hollinwood.
You may remember Deborah Meaden, investor and multimillionaire entrepreneur, identifying the massive potential of the increasingly successful Mum2Mum Market when it was presented in the Dragon’s Den in 2016. Kelly has taken charge of the Oldham Mum2Mum franchise and has run with it.
Kelly told Saddleworth News and Life: “The biggest success so far for the business was the last sale in January. There’s always a question mark as to whether a sale would work so soon after Christmas but we were very pleased. I believe this 
shows that it’s growing in popularity owing to its location, the quality of the items sold, and the smoothness of its management.
“One lady made a record amount from her stall, selling a number of nearly-new baby items and a nearly-new travel system. She ended up selling it for a very reasonable amount for both her and her customer and was our top seller.”
Kelly is now launching her market in a new venue at Oasis Academy in Hollinwood. It’s a brand new audience and one that has previously shown a lot of interest in having a nearly-new sale nearby. Mum2Mum Market will holding a sale at Oasis Academy in February, March, May and July, and will be at its flagship venue, Oldham Academy North, in April and June.
Kelly told us: “They are held on the last Sunday in each month, but slightly different around the school holidays so I encourage people to join the mailing list on the website to get up-to date notifications of where and when the markets are on and of any offers.
“Oasis Academy allow us to have 30 stalls which is great as it offers buyers much more choice and variety. It’s a mix of business sellers and of mums, dads and grandparents selling nearly-knew toys and equipment. You can find anything for babies and children up to 6 yrs in age.”
Mum2Mum Market stand out from others because of how popular they are and the consistent and encompassing marketing Kelly provides. Friends tell friends about the experience, sellers often live next door to each other, so the word is definitely on the street!
