Mystery After Man Found Injured In Delph

A man is seriously ill in hospital after he was discovered with head injuries in the back garden of a house in Delph.

Joshua Troops was found at the property on Delph New Road last Sunday, 20 March, at 11am. He had a fractured skull, and remains in a coma.

Police say Joshua may have fallen off a wall, or been assaulted. They’re appealing for anyone who might have seen him on Delph New Road between 10am and 11am last Sunday to get in touch.

In a statement, DS John Coleman from Oldham CID said: “He may have been acting in a dazed or confused manner causing possible alarm to passers by. So far we are struggling to find out how he received his injury and his family are understandably distressed to see a loved one in hospital.”

Joshua, who’s 22, was wearing a grey and white hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
