New Business Offers Help With Wills

Ray Withnall

A new Saddleworth business venture is aiming to help local people write their wills. Ray Withnall from Diggle has started Hay Tarn Willwriting Services, in response to the statistic that two-thirds of adults don’t have a valid will.

Ray is going to be launching the company with an open day at the Conservative Club in Uppermill this Saturday. It takes place between 11am and 4pm, and Ray has described it as an opportunity for anyone considering making a will to have an informal chat about how he can help them.

Ray has spent his career up to now working in accountancy and IT project management. He said: “I’m committed to providing service and value for money in a friendly and amiable way.”

He added: “I believe my clients should feel relaxed and comfortable whilst discussing a difficult subject, but also have confidence that their personal affairs are dealt with professionally and in strict confidence.  Hay Tarn’s fees are competitive, agreed in advance and not payable until the client is satisfied with the advice given and the work produced.”

Ray is a member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters and complies with their code of practice, which the Office of Fair Trading monitors under its Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. Hay Tarn is required to have £2 million professional indemnity insurance cover and undergo continuous development and training.

There’s plenty more information at Hay Tarn’s website here. Or, you can pop along to the open day on Saturday to find out more from Ray in person.

(Full disclosure: Hay Tarn Willwriting is a supporter of Saddleworth News)
