Parents Reminded About Free Nursery Care

Oldham Council has issued a prompt to parents of young children to make sure they claim their free nursery entitlement.

Care for up to 15 hours per week is available for three and four-year-olds, for 38 weeks of the year. The entitlement begins in the term after the child’s third birthday, so boys and girls born between 1 April and 31 August 2008 will be eligible from next month.

More information is available by ringing the Family Information Service on 0800 731 1518, or by calling in to a Sure Start children’s centre. The centre for Saddleworth North and South is located at the Holy Trinity School in Dobcross.
