Fire devastated several buildings at the Husteads Riding School last Thursday night. (all pictures: Natalie Shannon)

Here are heartbreaking images which show the full extent of the damage caused by last Thursday’s fire at the Husteads Riding School in Dobcross. The stable block and several other buildings were gutted by the blaze, although thankfully no people or horses were injured.

The fire was so intense that a total of ten crews of firefighters were called to the scene to help put it out. As well as buildings, the school lost a lot of valuable equipment.

A fundraising effort has begun to help Husteads recover, and you can get more details at a Facebook page here. School supporters are keen to get ideas for possible fundraising events, as well as to collect any unused items of riding equipment which could prove useful.
