Plenty of Sunshine and Dry – Thursday 17th September 2020 – Sunday 20th September 2020

Hi all,

We had a brief return to Summer this week and there’s more decent weather to come. Although a change in wind direction means we won’t hit the mid-20s like earlier this week. In fact the maximum temperature for September was broken this week. [My records started in August 2012].

September maximum temperatures:

2020 26.8°C
2019 22.8°C
2018 23.1°C
2017 20.2°C
2016 23.6°C
2015 20.5°C
2014 21.1°C
2013 23.8°C
2012 23.2°C

Thursday: A fresh start then sunny spells and a slight breeze. Warm. Dry. Max 19°C

Friday: Sunny spells and feeling pleasant. Breezy later. Max 17°C

Weekend: Windy but sunny.

Saturday: A good amount of sunshine developing across the region but there will be a gusty northeasterly wind. Max 17°C

Sunday: Still windy but probably less so than yesterday. Dry with more sunny periods on offer after a cloudy morning with rain close to the southeast. Max 16°C

Outlook: Continuing much of the same until midweek when the Jet Stream will start to influence our weather pattern. Showers followed by spells of rain. Enjoy this current spell of weather while you can.

Turning unsettled midweek next week – meanwhile enjoy!
