Quaradine with Chris and Amanda

Local couple and friends have publish a Covid inspired book cleverly called “QuaranDine with us” to raise funds the charity – Hospitality Action.

Along with their close friends, Chris and Amanda Moat of Saddleworth have
written a fun cook book. The book is dedicated to raising funds for those in
the hospitality sector who have been blighted by Covid Lockdowns.

The group of 6 good friends decided to embrace the situation created by
Covid Lockdowns – Rather than see the lockdowns as a barrier to socialising, they used it as a catalyst to dine together throughout the pandemic by using Zoom.

Chris said:- “Every few weeks we would take it in turns to pick a recipe for a given course. The recipes were shared across the group and
we cooked each others choices, creating wonderful 3 course meals.”

They decided to capture these recipes in their new book – QuaranDine With
Us. The recipes promise to be both simple and exceedingly tasty, and best of
all they are the kind of recipes you can use for any dinner party – lockdown or not.

Amanda said:- “Most of the preparation can be done ahead of the meal, with the emphasis on quickly serving and so we can put the focus on enjoying each others company. This book captures the moments and the recipes – hugs were virtual but banter and friendships are as real as they come.”

Socialising with friends over Zoom has been great but we also want to make
a contribution to the hospitality sector so it can return in the best shape
possible. Sharing our recipes and fun loving banter was the obvious thing to
do with all royalties going to Hospitality Action.

You can buy the book “Quarandine with us” from Amazon, or you can donate directly at www.hospitalityaction.org.uk . The book is available in electronic format for only £1.50, or in paper back for £15. QUARANDINE WITH US: 6 Friends share recipes and dining over zoom during and after Covid Lockdown
