Saddleworth Civic Trust and Historical Society

Saddleworth Civic Trust will be holding a flea market at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday 3 November at 10am till 4pm. Admission is adults 50p with concessions at 30p, there will be stalls and refreshments served all day. If you wish to book a stall please call 01457 876858.

The AGM of Saddleworth Civic Trust will be held at the Saddleworth Museum Gallery in Uppermill, on Thursday 14 November at 7.15pm. There will also be an illustrated presentation by Ray Hoerty, entitled ‘Famous Buildings in the City of Manchester.’ Free entry and new members are welcome, refreshments will be served.

Saddleworth Historical Society will hold their AGM on Tuesday 19 November at the Saddleworth Museum Gallery in Uppermill, this starts at 7.30pm. There will be a Presentation later by Neil Barrow entitled ‘The Saddleworth Families DNA Project.’ New members welcome and free entry also refreshments.

    Get on with it! This government is quite liable to withdraw the funding for rebuilding and then we’ll be stuck for another school generation. A perfect site is never available.
    Former deputy head Grange School Oldham which had no on site playing fields.
    Former Head of 1400 strong inner city Manchester comprehensive on -two sites a mile apart! One site next to an active land fill.
