Saddleworth Gardening Club’s Winter Talks

Saddleworth Gardening Club has got a series of talks planned over the coming months, to help local people get the best out of their gardens. The club has got about 100 members but is always keen to attract more.

On 10 January members will learn about the Haggle and Barter concept as it relates to garden produce. Then on 7 February Jane Allison will give a talk on how to make the most of your garden space.

Graham Hardman of the Japanese Gardens Society will be speaking on 7 March. And on 4 April the theme of Susan Haslingdon’s talk will be how gardeners can help hedgehogs and owls.

All of the talks will be held at the Civic Hall in Uppermill between 1:30pm and 3:30pm. The club also organises summer outings to various gardens.
