Saddleworth Winger Joins Oldham
Winger Shaun Robinson has left Saddleworth Rangers to sign for Oldham. The 21-year-old has agreed a one-year deal with the Roughyeds, as he leaves the amateur rugby league game behind.
Shaun, who works as an electrician, told Oldham’s website: “I think most Oldham lads who play rugby league would love a chance to wear the Roughyeds jersey, and I’m no exception. I can’t wait.”
He’d been with the Rangers for five years, and has battled back from a serious knee injury which forced him to miss a whole season at one stage.

Meanwhile, Saddleworth’s game against Wath Brow Hornets on Saturday was postponed. They remain 12th in the 14-team National Conference League Premier Division, and you can get more information at the league’s website here.
There wasn’t much football played over the weekend either. However, Mossley were in action last Tuesday night, and they were beaten 3-2 by Wakefield, a result which leaves them 11th in the Evo Stik League Division One North. A match report is here, and the table is here.
