Seaside Towns Exhibition At Uppermill Museum
Visual artist Ian McKay’s latest exhibition begins at the Museum in Uppermill with a special preview evening this Thursday, 1 September.
It focuses on the decline of our major coastal resorts, and is simply called Seaside Towns.
The exhibition mixes paint and print-making, and Ian, who is based in Manchester, says that in creating it he has drawn on both his own explorations of the seaside, and his early career as a signwriter.
This Thursday’s preview takes place between 7pm and 9pm. But if you can’t make it along then, the exhibition will then be on display at the museum until 2 October.
Ian’s website has a lot more information about him, and can be found here.
