Turning Unsettled Once Again – Thursday 12th November 2020 – Sunday 15th November 2020

Hi all,

We have entered Lockdown 2 and the weather hasn’t offered much in the way of activity, boring some might say. As this week progresses we do see more in the way of movement with rain and wind returning. With only three weeks to go until winter, there is also no sign of any early cold snap with our weather staying mostly on the mild side with no frosts.

Thursday: Showers to start, moving away sharply to be replaced by sunny spells. Breezy and cooler. Cloudier later in the afternoon and showers by evening. Max 11°C

Friday: Overnight rain should be out of the way early leaving a day of bright or sunny spells. Odd shower possible. Breezy. Max 10°C

Weekend: Plenty of rain and showers.

Saturday: Any bright spells fading fast as rain arrives and low pressure takes hold. Rain turning showery later and a windy day. Milder. Max 14°C

A weekend of bands of rain followed by showers

Sunday: The Jet Stream is back controlling the weather so breezy with frequent showers throughout the day. Cool. Max 12°C

Outlook: Bright spells and a few showers to start then high pressure has a chance to start to build to our south, slowing the progress of the Jet Stream. This means we become more settled and again drift into a ‘boring’ spell of mild weather.
