Walk for Life – Join us!
Join us for an easy walk (approx 5 miles flat/moderate gradient) joining either a team walking from Mossley or a team walking from Uppermill. Once the two teams ‘meet’ in the middle, they will be able to relax and enjoy their Mystery Lunch which will be provided. It’s a chance to get some fresh air in good company and to chat.
The Walk for Life organisers have been itching to get back to sorting another walk after the last 3 being great successes.
Walkie Talkies is a similar project that the organiser, Sian Birch, wishes to bring to her area of Mossley – “walks not too strenuous you can’t talk where the company is as important as the journey and destination”.
In an effort to respect the lockdown guidelines, we have decided to organise a walk from Uppermill (Walk for Life team) and meet with the team from Mossley (Walkie Talkies team) midway. There will be a Mystery Picnic provided. Each group will be made up of only 6 people. The starting points are Uppermill Co-Op OR Mossley Co-Op.
Each walker with Walk for Life will receive a FREE Walk for Life T shirt too.
Mark Hilton of Adventure Based Learning is a walk leader and is working with Sian Birch (Member Pioneer Co-op Mossley) and myself to find suitable paths and will be joining us on the walk.
