  • Run errands for others
  • Gift an inspirational book
  • Make a card and give it to a friend
  • Call on a neighbour to check how they are
  • Make some cookies and leave on a friend’s doorstep
  • Paint a stone and leave it for someone to find
  • Have extra seedings? Put them on your drive/wall for others to take and enjoy
  • Have a social-distance coffee with a neighbour even if you have to raise your voices over the path
  • Lots of flowers in your garden? Pick a few and put on someone’s doorstep to brighten their day
  • Leave a kind and positive comment on a small businesses page, or even a recommendation on Facebook

HELPERS HIGH:  According to research from Emory University, when you are kind to another person, your brain’s pleasure and reward centers light up, as if you were the recipient of the good deed—not the giver. This phenomenon is called the “helper’s high.”
