Colin Blunstone, lead singer with The Zombies plays a special one-off show at Friezland Church Hall on Thursday 29th November.

Colin first found fame with The Zombies in the 1960s with hits such as She’s Not There, Tell Her No & Time Of The Season (A Million-seller in the United States) and the classic Odessey & Oracle album (#80 in Rolling Stone magazine’s 1000 Greatest Albums of All Time). In the 70s and 80s he had several solo hits including Say you Don’t Mind, I Don’t believe In Miracles, What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted, Old & Wise (with the Alan Parsons Project) and also released three album’s on Elton John’s Rocket label. His 11th Solo album On The Air Tonight was released last month.

He has just returned from Zombies shows in Japan and The Philippines.

This is a rare chance to see Colin perform in such an intimate setting following The Zombies recent anniversary shows at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and Hammersmith Apollo in London. Expect to hear all the hits and more with a top-flight backing band including former members of The Kinks and Argent.

Andrew Jones of Film Extras says “We’re absolutely thrilled to be playing with Colin Blunstone. He’s one of the greatest pop vocalists off all time, and he still hits all those amazing high notes”.

The show starts at 7.30pm with full bar. Tickets are £13 advance and are available from Uppermill and Greenfield Post Offices, Alan & Viv’s Chippy next to Mossley station or by contacting neilbluesnights@hotmail.co.uk . There are only a limited number so hurry!
