And the sun shone on us! … Whit Walks in Saddleworth

There’s been a great turnout of both walkers and watchers for the 2019 Whit Walks in Saddleworth. The morning started off a little dull but with the hills reverberating to the sound of brass bands. As the morning progressed, slowly and surely the sun came out.
The local Walkers to Uppermill paraded their banners around the Villages and culminated in a service in the village park. They then marched off, up the high street, to their respective churches. (Photos by Jude Gidney)
