Canal Family Fun Day Tomorrow
The Huddersfield Canal Society is hosting a family fun day tomorrow. It takes place at the Brownhill Centre on Wool Road near Dobcross between 11am and 3pm.
Among the activities being laid on are face painting, colouring, arts and crafts and some live music from the Delph Youth Band. There’ll also be the opportunity to see historical displays of the canal, and the RSPB will be there promoting their work in the area. Food is being provided by a variety of local suppliers, including cakes and other goodies baked by members of the WI.
Funding for the event has come from Oldham Council and rural regeneration quango Pennine Prospects. You can visit the Society’s website here.
