Car crashes into wall in Uppermill

A driver had a lucky escape this evening as the car he was driving crashed into a wall on Station Road in Uppermill at around 7.30pm tonight.

We understand the elderly driver was trying to perform a u-turn and misjudged the road and ended up in the wall.

The police attended and the vehicle was taken away on a low loader.

The driver who did not appear to be injured was helped by local residents.

    He must have been 3-point turning like Jeremy Clarkson! The force of the crash had lifted the front wheels right off the ground.
